The League of Cities has numerous in-house committees operating on a continuing basis:  Legislative, Finance, Scholarship, Transportation, Environmental, Policy & Procedures, Education, ITE, Programs and the Inpector General Budget Review.  The League is also represented on several state, regional and county committees and boards.  Special project committees (ad hoc) are established from time to time as issues require.

Technology Ad Hoc Committee:

Open to All;
Meetings: The Committee shall meet quarterly to start, and then may meet more frequently if needed.; Mission (inital scope and duties): 1. Review and monitor municipal, regional and state technology system and infrastructure issues and needs; 2. Review and monitor programs and policies that support and encourage smart cities, entrepreneurship, innovation and growth in the region’s technology sector; 3. Monitor legislative and technological trends in information and technology; 4. Make recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding technology-related programs and policy matters; and 5. Actively participate and serve on state and/or national League of Cities’ committees in order to learn about emerging technology issues, and to bring those issues back to the Board of Directors and/or the General Membership for review.  Additionally, the Committee members should be encouraged to attend other seminars and information sessions at the regional, state, national and international level in order to gain insight into emerging technology issues that may be relevant to the League’s membership.
