September Meeting Recap 2015

We thank the Town of Jupiter Inlet Colony and the Village of Tequesta for hosting us at the wonderful Tequesta Country Club.

Board Meeting The Board appointed Commission President Sylvia Moffett of West Palm Beach to the Homeless Advisory Board and the Reentry Task Force. The board also appointed Councilmeber Michael Jawdy of Glen Ridge and Vice Mayor Myra Koutzen of Palm Beach Shores to the Water Resource Task Force.

The Board approved Gulfstream Council of Boy Scouts of Ammerica's assocaite member application.

The Board received an update from County Administrator Verdenia Baker regarding the 1/2 Penny sales tax.

The Board received updates from the following committees: Ocean to Lake Trail and Legislative.

League Counsel Jennifer Ashton updated us on pertinent legal issues (for full report go to our News:Meeting Notes page).

Executive Director Richard Radcliffe informed the board that this year's Legislative Roundtable will be held on December 16th at FAU.

General Membership 

At the General Membership Meeting the membership received a tourism update from Glenn Jergensen, Executive Director of the Tourist Development Council and the membership also heard from Vicki Chouris, the CEO of the South Florida Fair regarding upcoming opportunities for the muncipalities to showcase their city.
