August Meeting Recap 2013

We thank the City of Riviera Beach for hosting the League at the Riviera Beach Marina Complex.

Board Meeting The Board approved Palm Healthcare Foundation Inc. assocaite member application.

The Board selected Royal Palm Beach Councilman David Swift as the League's recommendation to represent Palm Beach County on the C-51 Governance and Finance Workgroup.

Committee Reports: The board heard reports from Richard Radcliffe on the FEMA Flood Map Technical Committee and the FECI Task Force. President Maxwell reported on the Code Enforcement Task Force.

Executive Director Richard Radcliffe thanked everyone who was able to attend the Florida League of Cities conference in Orlando and the Gold Coast Breakfast. He informed everyone of the FLC DC Fly-In on September 10-11.

General Membership Riviera Beach's Councilwoman Dawn Pardo welcomed the membership to the City of Riviera Beach and Mayor Thomas Master provided the invocation.

Our featured speaker was U.S. Representative Congressman Patrick Murphy.

Next month we will be at the Atlantis Country Club. The meetings will be hosted by Atlantis, Golf, Gulf Stream, Hypoluxo, Lake Clarke Shores, Manalapan, Ocean Ridge and South Palm Beach.
